The company at a glance
Sil&Add is a French company specializing in the development of noise reduction solutions.
Our mission is to solve acoustic problems while minimizing the associated trade-offs, such as increased product cost, weight, dimensions and environmental impact.
To achieve this, we apply our expertise in additive manufacturing, acoustic materials and metamaterials, and multiphysics modeling to develop new materials, components and multifunctional products tailored to your unique needs.

"My aim is to combine what I know how to do: R&D in Mechanics - Acoustics, with what I like to do: helping other people's projects to achieve concrete, high-performance results. In this way, I want to contribute to the reindustrialization of France & Europe and to greater sobriety."
Our story
Sil&Add has its origins in its founder's thesis. From 2017 to 2020, I worked with the Laboratoire d'Acoustique de l'Université du Mans (LAUM - UMR CNRS 6613), the Laboratoire d'Analyse Vibratoire et Acoustique de Polytechnique Montréal (LAVA), and French engine manufacturer Safran Aircraft Engines.
My research focused on the development of new multifunctional acoustic materials for noise reduction in future aircraft engines, using additive manufacturing. This work led to the creation of materials with remarkable acoustic and mechanical properties.
Following this thesis, and a year as a post-doc, I embarked on the Sil&Add adventure, supported by the LAUM and accompanied by Le Mans Innovation and SATT Ouest Valorisation.
