As this conference focused on innovative and sustainable acoustic materials, two ways of reducing the mass of acoustic materials and metamaterials produced using the 3D printing method of molten wire deposition were presented. These two means consist in the use of foaming yarn and the reduction of the extrusion diameter. The impact in terms of density and acoustic behaviour of the printed materials are presented.

This grant will enable Sil&Add to accelerate the development of new acoustic products, with an R&D budget of over €180,000.

Other innovative projects, open to technical and financial partnerships, are also under development. At the same time, Sil&Add offers tailor-made development services to other companies, enabling them to improve the acoustic performance of their products.
